“Poetry, I feel, is a tyrannical discipline. You’ve got to go so far so fast in such a small space; you’ve got to burn away all the peripherals.” —Sylvia Plath
Peter lives with his wife and three kids in Arlington Heights, a suburb of Chicago. He’s involved in the poetry community in the Chicagoland area, different technical meetups, and enjoying his adopted city. After growing up in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, he moved here in the summer of 2013. His writing started in college, but didn’t get serious until moving to Chicago. In his poetry he likes to play with sounds and words, perspectives, and emotions. Poetry isn’t just for MFAs.
